Remembering Those that Serve

I was always taught that the red stripes in "Old Glory" represented the blood that was shed by those protecting our freedoms. Many veterans of the past have sacrified life and limb to retain the liberties that we have today. However, during the holidays, I remember that not all sacrifices are made in blood. Many veterans (overseas and on native lands) spend the holidays away from loved ones. Being away from family and friends is especially hard on any service person. Please keep these people in mind during your holiday celebrations.
