News & Articles Being an educated citizen The Order of Combat is dedicated to the idea of being a good citizen. A good citizen should do several things: (1) vote; (2) perform civic obligations (pay your taxes, attend jury duty, sign up for civil service, etc.); (3) lead respectable, lives abiding by all federal, state, and local laws; (4) be involved in the community. To accomplish the taskings of a good citizen one needs to be educated about all nature of things that can affect the country, state, and local community. Being familiar with what is occurring within politics helps maintain a state of education on things that could directly affect you or your family. The Order of Combat does not involve itself with the direction of politics, but does want its members informed on certain issues that could directly relate to its members, especially in the areas of martial arts.
